Times Like These…

Times like these…

We reflect and reconvene.

Assess in disbelief.

Life hardly what it seems.

Fighting for good air just to breathe.

A space where we can dream.

A light for us to see.

Maybe hope to just believe.

Times like these…

We discover who we are.

Forced to scan our hearts.

Find our purpose and why started.

Times like these…

We grow selfless to play our part.

The individual can only go so far.

But together we can conquer all…

These Days…

The Rain…

The rain reminds me of the pain.

Gazing out a window not a dollar to my name

Hoping opportunity came.

In search of significance.

In search of a way.

No more mumbling my name.

No more suppressing the thoughts in my head.

I saw a way out and it’s strange.

A whimper of a voice but I gave it a chance.

Blocked out the world and heard it again.

This whole journey started from pain.

A few rain drops, hope and a window made a way…

As a child…

I dreamed it all as a child.

Despised running and hiding.

Didn’t like bridges so I started flying.

No crowds only clouds to confide in.

Owning my time I put pride in.

While my last name providing.

Opportunities, life and the lights keep shining.

In this universe where we reside…

Outlets…

The world today seems to be filled with entrepreneurs, filtered happy people and motivational speakers. Yet, most of us are really broken, stuck, and one moment away from not giving a fuck. Buzz words like grind, no sleep, hustling, and no days off fills timelines. But I’m curious. what goes on behind the timeline? I’m not suggesting there is anything wrong with this ideology. What I’m saying is we have to be able to deal with ourselves first; our past, backgrounds, fears, insecurities, weirdness etc. It’s like trying to build a house without a proper foundation. We skip too many steps these days. Wanting to be grown, but it’s ok to be a kid. It’s ok to be honest with ourselves. It’s ok that it takes time to develop into our best self. We don’t have to know it all to start. Start where you are and never be pressured by society.

We need more outlets and less judgment to heal. We need more real. Less second guessing ourselves. So as an entrepreneur, muser, and writer my challenge is to create an avenue that does just that. There are so many people walking around having to act tough when all they want is love. Any ideas?

Human Race

Inspired by a homeless man smile.

I saw his soul through his eyes.

I felt his heart like it was mine.

The human race so divine.
